Playing with Art Ideas

Inspired by what was happening at a table at AQA, we'd like to trial a timeslot for playing
with some of the ideas and techniques that belong more to Art Quilts than to Traditional

Sometimes 'hands on', sometimes not

It will evolve over time and the group may find a better, more apt name for itself.

Meanwhile, it will be an opportunity for ...

• learning from one another

• bringing pieces along for discussion - what problems were solved; what problems were NOT solved

• bouncing ideas - sharing - critique in a trusted environment

• experimenting with various techniques or media on small pieces - maybe around A4 size

• items being hung in the corridor for general viewing interest, if appropriate

Nola Bicknell is happy to lead the group initially, then different people may choose to take a leading role for several sessions - no one has all the answers!

This group will meet in the front room when possible - to be able to concentrate without the noise of the main hall

All members will be welcome to wander in and see what is happening
